I have damage to my car. What do I do?
If you have damage to your car, report this to the leasing company immediately, but no later than within 24 hours or the next working day. If the circumstances at the time of incurring the damage give reason to do so, you are also expected to report the incident to the police within 24 hours.
In accordance with the manual issued by the leasing company, complete a European Accident Statement stating the damage and the circumstances of the accident. If you are unsure whether you are completing the form correctly, always contact the leasing company. They can guide you in completing the claim form step-by-step. All costs incurred as a result of the European Accident Statement not being completed or in full will be payable by you. Any damages that are not paid by an insurer because the claim form was not completed or in full is payable by you as well. It is therefore important that the claim form is completed correctly.
All damage repairs will be carried out exclusively by a company designated by the leasing company.
